Allison Cara Tolman (born April 2 in 1985) is an American actor from the United States. She was nominated for Emmys and Golden Globes for her performance as Molly Solverson on the FX show Fargo's debut season. Tolman is the eldest of three siblings, with two older brothers. Early in her life, the family of Tolman relocated to England. The family remained in England until she reached age four. She lived in Oklahoma for 5 years, and later in West Texas before moving to Sugar Land. Her first acting lessons began when she was 10 years old in Fort Bend Community Theatre. Vanity Fair said that Tolman, "calmly" and "assuredly" took over the show. Tolman was awarded the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress for a Movie/Miniseries, and was also nominated for Best Actress at both the Emmy Awards & Golden Globes for her performance. The same year, it was announced that Tolman is scheduled to make a guest role on the Mindy Project as Abby Berman who is a romance author. As of 2015, Tolman played an supporting part in Michael Dougherty's comedy film Krampus. After her breakthrough role in Fargo, Tolman declined several part-time roles, including mothers or wives as well as best friends in search of some more unique roles.
